Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are in 11th- 12th grade and are preparing for college and their career pathways! They’re always ready to explore something new and love hands-on materials in the classroom. This year, we need new art supplies, including markers and colored pens for their various school projects. I’m requesting a hand vacuum to clean up after lunch and an iPad to use during classroom presentations to connect to the teacher’s Apple TV. My students also need hand soap to wash their hands after lunch and a door mat to dry their feet. I asked for pencils and an electric pencil sharpener for general student use, and a charging station and sensory fidget toys since a lot of students stay after school in my office to work on homework/projects. In the 10 years, I paid for everything out of pocket. My goal is to have a well-stocked college and career center for my high school. Thank you!
