This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

The children at my school are known for being curious, hardworking, and sweet. I am extremely excited to work at a North Philadelphia public school dedicated to inspiring children to become the best versions of themselves through learning. All of my students come from low-income households and do not have access to a lot of resources so I would love to create a classroom that drives their curiosities and encourages them to push themselves in the face of adversities. I will be a first-year teacher and any donations that are made will help create a beautiful and comfortable space for my students. My students deserve to be given the best education possible. By donating you can help me achieve that!

My Project

Many students face problems in and out of the classroom that are completely out of their control causing them to not have basic school supplies that are essential to completing daily class and homework assignments. It is so important for me to provide my students with basic supplies such as pencils, markers, and scissors to guarantee their success in school.

These basic classroom supplies will allow students to start the year with essential tools for learning in an organized classroom and will help make sure that each student has exactly what they need.

My hope is to provide each student with a pencil box filled with necessary tools, an abundance of paper for creatives, and a classroom rug that supports relationship building and collaboration. The classroom will become a more engaging and hands-on environment with a sufficient amount of supplies.
