Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I teach Intro Art at a Title I school where all students come from low-income families. My students are hard-working artists and students. They are very grateful for all the supplies that the school and I provide them, but we always end up needing more.

We use pencils and composition notebooks for daily writing and sketching but these supplies are consumables and often run out leaving students' parents to replace them.

Having these supplies provided to them will alleviate the stress or guilt students feel when having to ask their parents to spend money buying them new supplies or worse, not having access to these essential supplies.
