My Students

My students are an extraordinary group of kids. They come to school each day ready and eager to learn whether they are remote or in person. For many of them, school is not just a place to learn, but it also is what many of them would consider a place that feels like home. Especially with all that has been going on in the world, they continue to work hard and give it all they have!

They are resilient, resourceful, and passionate when it comes to learning.

Even though school looks different than what they are used to, they are trying the very best they can. They are students who are eager to learn and want to be the best version of themselves. All of them have goals of one day going to college, and most importantly having strong careers! They don't allow the outside influences of their environment to affect their learning and eagerness to learn. They are typical kids, in an area that forces kids to grow up quickly. Most of all, they care about school, and come each day eager and willing! What more could a teacher ask for!

My Project

The supplies listed in this project and essential school supplies that every student is deserving of having. In today's climate, all students need basic school supplies to help them be successful inside and outside of the classroom. These are materials that are needed for each and every day of learning. Notebooks, pencils, markers, scissors, and pens are not something parents should have to worry about paying for, especially with everything going on with the pandemic.

We would like to try and alleviate some of these stresses for our students and our parents.

The other materials being requested would be used to make reading and math centers that can be cleaned and wiped down for multiple uses. Laminating pouches and bright colorful paper would allow our students to be socially distanced but still engaged when working in centers.

We are also requesting some basic cleaning supplies to ensure that we are able to wipe down and sanitize the students' desks after each day. While our school tries its best to supply these supplies halfway through the year we always run out.
