My Students

My class surprises me every day with everything that they can do, and all the fun ways that they can do it. They enjoy hands-on activities, but are improving their abilities to read, write and do math! We are focused on expressive writing this year, and are learning many different ways to express ourselves through writing. The students share their ideas, verbally, visually, and through traditional writing. We are hoping to improve our writing over the course of this year, share our experiences, and one day get published!

My Project

I am requesting these books, because we have used the Who Was books in class in order to look up topics and learn about new things. When I found the book, Who Is? The Story of My Life, I knew that it would be perfect to use with my students in order to teach them how to write an autobiography. My students will use the various graphic organizers in the book to share information about them. The other book will be used in conjunction with our class library to emphasize the importance of reading comprehension and to improve our skills.
