Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students love every sport they try but due to limited funding, they often do not get a varied selection. With these baseball and softball supplies, they would have access to a whole new world of athletic activity.

My students attend a public Kindergarten through Eighth Grade school in a high poverty community in New Jersey.

They are enthusiastic learners who love being physically active and often can be found playing basketball at the school before and after the school day. Beyond basketball, they have limited access to other sports due to a low number of materials.

My Project

If my students received these pitching machines and other baseball and softball supplies, they would hone their baseball and softball skills while learning the fundamentals of the game. They would be able to practice more effectively which would make their games against competing schools more successful. These materials would give them an opportunity to succeed.

These donations will give inner city kids access to a sport that is an important part of American culture.

Although they are aware of the game, our lack of supplies leads to our teams being less competitive. Thank you for considering this project.
