Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students come from many different backgrounds. Some were born in other countries and speak more than one language. The students in my advanced bands are very committed to making music and sharing their talents with their parents, friends, and other members of their community. Our Jazz Band is well known in our city and is always in demand for live performances. These students take pride in what they do are always eager to perform.

The Symphonic Band has participated in a national competition for the past six years and has ended up with five first place finishes!

These students are committed to learning, hard work, and making great music. My kids are some of the hardest workers I have ever taught. They do need the requested equipment in order to continue succeeding in the art of making high quality music. The wind players in our group will use the mouthpieces requested. The mutes asked for must be used in the advanced band music our concert band is performing. The oils and greases will be used to maintain our instruments in proper working order.

My Project

Our beginning band program keeps growing at my school. The supplies these students need in order to participate are relatively inexpensive, and most of the students can afford to purchase their supplies. However, our advanced band students need to move up to better equipment in order to perform the more complex band music involved. This type of supplies have proven to be too expensive for most of my students to afford.

Your donation will ensure that the students with the most need will have the equipment needed to succeed.

High quality equipment is needed. Our brass and woodwind players will use the mouthpieces requested. They will also use the mutes that advanced band music calls for. The oils and greases will be used by all wind instrumentalists so that their instruments stay in great working order.
