My Students

In the light of recent tragic events, my students bring about hope for a better future. While they hail from all over the globe, speak a multitude of different languages, and come from a wide array of economic situations, they work together in unity. Through playing in a band together, they learn the values of teamwork, tolerance, understanding, and loyalty. We see our wonderful diversity as an asset and a strength. I can only hope that they can carry this notion of setting aside differences to achieve unity into the future.

My students are energetic, determined, and love to share their musical gifts with the school and local community.

They are truly a joy to behold.

My Project

The sweet, resonant tone of the flute permeates through the air. The flute is strong, yet elegant. It can be bold and it can be subtle. Sadly many of our flutes are between 10 and 30 years old, and have fallen into various stages of disrepair. As a result, students are forced to share instruments.

The flute's inherent beauty makes it one most popular band instruments.

We simply do not have enough flutes in working condition to keep up with student demand. Since many of our students cannot afford to rent or purchase an instrument of their own, it is imperative to expand our inventory. The plastic flutes are budget-smart and have very good tone quality. They are also more durable then the metal ones, as they do not have pads that get town/worn out. The plastic flutes will allow more students to play this amazing instrument!
