Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The students of DeZavala sign up for lessons to learn not only Ballet Folklorico but to learn of their culture and keep the traditions alive. I hope to offer the students a chance to display the costuming that depicts the appropriate costuming for the dance region studied for the semester. They will proudly don their attire as they perform the dances of the region of Mexico studied with the final product being a quetchquemitl and the hairpieces with it.

Current and future students will benefit from the opportunity to perform with this costuming.
