Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Give this project a boost!
A chain reaction of support starts with one share.
I have a diverse group of students from varying backgrounds. Many of them are readers, and would truly enjoy a more diverse selection of reading materials within the classroom. They are adapting to a Balanced Literacy model, which encompasses reading, writing, listening and speaking. All of this is accomplished via workstations, with multiple things occurring simultaneously within the classroom. These workstations require much planning and many sets of materials that I have limited access to at best. The multiple colors helpe be organized, as well as the students.
My Project
These supplies will help my students better participate in an active and engaging classroom. They love working with the brightly colored papers, reading a variety of books, and making manipulative and hands-on pieces to use in the classroom! They truly have a passion for learning, and strive to produce quality work in class every day. Many of the work stations I assemble require varied copies, and I have assigned each reading group a color to make my life simpler. These resources would provide a huge help to me in staying organized and providing quality materials for the students in my class.
