My Students

My students come from all different ethnic backgrounds. More than half of them come from lower income families. No matter what their background, they all strive to become stronger. Even in these challenging times they are motivated to get fit and healthy, not only for today but for their future.

My Project

Having students participate in fitness and to be active is at the core of Physical Education classes. The foundation of fitness is being able to balance.

Don't fall, just Balance.

The use of a portable balance beam and incline mat with teach students how to work on the locomotor movements of balancing. This is an essential skill in everyday life.

The fitness mats will help those students that need the extra practice to stay safe while doing so. Plus they are a fun thing to add in when doing obstacle course for the students.
