My Project

Each year our school comes together to put on a musical performance. It is important that we work as a community for this as it helps the students feel part of something special and connected to each other. The students in our school have a variety of special needs and come from diverse backgrounds. Having a creative outlet and being exposed to new experiences is so crucial to their growth and social emotional well-being.

For our students who don't want to perform on stage, being a stage hand, prop maker, costume or set designer have become a fantastic opportunity!

Students work together to create beautiful costumes, build sets using tools, paint backdrops and many more creative stage design projects. This provides a sense of ownership to the final performance, a strong sense of community, a learning opportunity for possible career choices and many more positive life skill opportunities.
