My Students

It is thought that my students will engage in a hybrid model of education come September; this means that they will be in the school building 1-3 times a week, and be engaging in remote learning the other days.

This previous spring my class was connected through Google Classroom, but I soon learned that many of them did not have adequate supplies to successfully engage in remote learning.

I would like to have my incoming students set-up for a more successful remote learning experience.

My Project

Young learners like my Pre-K students learn best with hands-on materials and meaningful learning experiences. Unfortunately, this past spring I quickly learned that not all of my students had access to the basic supplies that would enhance their learning at home. If funded, these transition to school backpacks will give my incoming Pre-K students an opportunity to engage in hands-on materials and help develop their early academic skills at home. It is my intention to refill the backpacks with other supplies when needed (e.g., paper, writing utensils, Play-Doh, Play-Doh tools, etc).
