it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Summer is a critical time for my students, and without the right support, they can lose valuable skills they’ve worked hard to gain. Studies show that disadvantaged students, particularly English Learners, can lose up to 30% of their reading progress over the summer months.
These students are at even higher risk of summer learning loss, with research revealing that bilingual students can experience a loss of up to 2-3 months of learning in the summer, widening the achievement gap.
I’m seeking your help to provide my bilingual or Spanish-speaking students with a Summer Reading Backpack, a bundle packed with fun, engaging activities, books, and exercises to help them stay sharp over the break. With your donation, you’ll ensure they return to school ready to succeed and excited to learn!
