Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The students at our middle school are great! They know what to do when they run out of materials and where to look. It has been a big jump from getting them to be independent to actually watching them do things on their own.

Students refill their own materials once the ones they have are empty.

I could not be any happier than to see how much of a different allowing them open access has been. Students do not misuse materials, we just run out quicker.

This tells me that my students are completing their assignments and following directions. I am beyond proud to see how much my students have grown. It makes me happy and them excited! In order to best provide additional support for my students including, but not limited to instructions, I want to laminate my instructions and other resources they can use. My students appreciate the structure of our classroom. They enjoy our interactive notebooks, but that means more paper and more ink for printing. Overall, the needs of our students are my priority.
