This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My name is Teresa Browden and I've been happily teaching third grade for three years. I have the pleasure of working with 27 of the most enthusiastic and well organized third graders this year. I teach at a Title 1 school also known as a school with a high percentage of students from low income families. Not all families are able to provide the necessary materials for their students to be successful in the classroom. The supplies I've chosen will assist my students by meeting their daily academic needs. For example, headphones are vital in the classroom to help my student eliminate noises and allow them to focus/concentrate on their individual lessons. In addition, the magnetic notebook paper will allow me to assist my students on how to properly construct a paragraph with the appropriate headings. The storage units will be used for my students' groups to neatly store data binders, writing binders, and composition books. The mini post it paper will be used as anchor charts I can display in my classroom to remind students of previous lessons. The pocket pouches will be used for storing students incentive cards for iReady and PBIS reward cards. Pencils, dry erase markers, laminating sheets, notebooks, and board clips are supplies need for a smooth school year.
