My Students

I have a group of 4th and 5th-grade students who LOVE to write! They truly enjoy writing narratives. The best feeling in the world is to see a struggling writer realize that they can be creative and create a piece that they are really proud of.

My Project

I teach writing and social studies to fourth and fifth graders. I love doing projects that require creativity in both subject areas. My students need basic supplies so they can continue being creative. We do a lot with maps in social studies. Colored pencils and markers are used on a daily basis. We also use whiteboards for quick answers in grammar. We've been using tissues to erase our work, but dry erase markers would be much more economical. Our electronic pencil sharpener has seen better days. Some days it works, while on others it gives out. We need an update to basic supplies!
