My Students

My students come from various socioeconomic, race, religious, and cultural backgrounds. They are bright-eyed and excited about learning. My students love learning and engaging in meaningful activities.

Every student deserves to be happy, healthy, and safe at school.

With the recent events of COVID-19, the way schools function have changed from anything we have ever known.

Our classroom fosters a love for learning through different experiences. Many students do not have the background knowledge that you would expect a child their age to have. I try to provide students with experiences that will impact their lives not only while they are in my classroom but that they can take with them throughout their lives.

My Project

Our nation is in the middle of a health crisis the likes of which few have ever experienced. Schools across the country were closed and students were asked to stay home and learn remotely. Many parents and guardians have suffered financially as a result. Many of our students will not have what they need to start the next school year. Shared community supplies are a thing of the past. Each student will now need their own personal supplies.

The goal of this project is to provide pencils, erasers, tissues, and other supplies for students.

Teachers will still be providing quality, rigorous learning despite conditions that currently exist. Basic supplies for students are a must!

Our students should not have to do without basic supplies in the midst of a health crisis. Students are suffering from a learning loss due to early shutdown. I believe that a lack of basic supplies should not contribute to a continuation of the loss of learning. With the help of generous donors, our students will be able to pick up from where they left off and continue to be successful!
