Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The materials donated through this project will mainly be used to maintain Interactive Science Notebooks for my 7th-grade science students this year. Other supplies will help replenish basic class materials that will be used daily in my middle school classroom.

Interactive science notebooks will be used by students throughout the entire year to revise their thinking and deepen their understanding of scientific concepts.

Students will record data, draw models, and take notes in their notebooks. Each year, these prove to be a powerful tool to teach students how to organize their work.

Supplies such as notebooks, colored pencils, crayons, and pencils will be used daily by students to interact with their notebooks. Expo markers will be used during interactive lessons where students will be able to brainstorm ideas or play review games on individual whiteboards. The Play-Doh will be used throughout the entire first semester when students are introduced to the ideas of atoms, atomic models, and chemical formulas. Lastly, Clorox wipes will be used to ensure that I maintain a clean, safe learning environment for all of my students.
