Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our school is located in a high-poverty and high-risk community. Many of my students speak English as a second language, and speak Spanish, Tongan, or another language at home. The students' families come from a diverse range of places all over the world, including El Salvador, Mexico, Fiji, Tonga, Samoa, and others, and they are proud of their heritage. Many students and their families struggle with homelessness, transiency, and hunger.

Despite these challenges, the students persevere every day by showing up for their educations.

While the families at our school are incredibly supportive, they do not have the funds to supply all the needed supplies for our classroom.

My Project

After a year of distance learning, we are returning back to in-person school! To kick things off, I would like to provide school supplies to my students. This way families do not have to worry about providing their child with school supplies.

Despite the challenges this year has presented, my students have put their best effort into their school work.

I want to give back to my students by providing their supplies.

By supporting this project, you will be helping support the learning of child hungry to return to school.
