Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are fifth graders in a high-needs school in the Bronx. Our school used to be set in a dilapidated building, but our wonderful community of families, teachers, and staff fought for our students to have a school building they deserve. After many years, we continue to fight for equity for our students.

My students are bright, passionate, energetic, and creative.

They are insightful, and they inspire me daily. Your support would help my students receive the resources they need and deserve.

My Project

After years of maximizing our classroom resources, many of them need to be replaced. Our dry erase lapboards are cracked, our mobile dry erase board takes up unnecessary space and has broken wheels, and we always need more markers, chart paper and books!

With new resources, my students will be able to enjoy their learning environment even more.

They will have more space with a compact mobile dry erase board, and won't have to worry about running out of paper or markers for the year. My bilingual students will have more books to read that acknowledge and reinforce their expanded language skills.
