This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students from California are enthusiastic learners who enter the classroom believing they can succeed at anything they put their minds to. In our classroom, we collaboratively foster a supportive environment. My students love helping each other become and feel accomplished as well as celebrating their success. They are readers, writers, and mathematicians who are eager to succeed and build on their learning. I am so proud of their creativity and willingness to always try their best in any challenge presented. They truly love learning!

My Project

Now that we are back to school while still dealing with COVID, teachers must be creative to keep our little scholars engaged while also being aware of safety concerns. Being a 1st-grade teacher this will be my students' first year on campus and I want my students to feel safe at school. I know how important it is to make sure each student remains healthy. With every student having individual whiteboards, markers, and supplies it ensures the safety of our classroom so that we can focus on our learning and growth.
