This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are young little learners experiencing school for possibly the first time. They are curious about the world around them and can make anyone light up when they begin to understand it.
Students in this class are from various backgrounds, many of whom have not been in school before and due to the pandemic, have still not been able to experience the excitement of classroom experiences with new supplies and/or activities.
My Project
Students in kindergarten use a variety of tools that are better shaped for them in the beginning of the school year. With crayons and pencils shaped for their little hands, the kindergarteners in my class will be able to develop the fine motor skills that go along with writing and illustrating. They will also be able to develop a sense of responsibility as they learn to take care of their learning tools within the space of our classroom. Having these supplies will make, what might be, their first time in a classroom that much more exciting!
