My Students

My kindergarten students are vibrant, funny, inquisitive little humans who love learning about the world around them. They are eager to learn. They love to play. They love reading books, participating in dramatic play, using technology, and participating in outdoor activities to help them learn and grow. Even though the last few months have been unprecedented and extremely challenging, learning remotely due to the pandemic, my students are trying to learn and work in this new normal. I’m so proud of how resilient they are.

My students love school.

For many of them, our school is a safe haven. It's where they come to feel safe, feel love, build relationships, and to learn. Part of my responsibility is to provide a nurturing and rich environment that allows them to grow, inquire, learn, and question the world around them. At the same time, provide them with love and push them to be the best human beings that they can possibly be. They often rise to meet and exceed my expectations when the right materials and tools are at their fingertips. Oh, the places they can go to!

My Project

After 15 months of hybrid learning, it is so exciting to be heading back to school for in-person learning. I know my scholars (and their families) are super excited about returning to the school building and they can't wait to be in the school building with their friends and teachers.

I want to make the transition back to in-person learning as smooth as possible for my scholars and their families.

These materials - uniform shirts and disposable masks - will really help ensure my scholars are prepared for school in the Fall. These resources will help ensure that my scholars are safe while wearing masks in school. My scholars will be able to come to school wearing their school uniform shirts and start the school year as a loving community. In our school community, many scholars are unable to purchase their school uniform at the beginning of the school year. This project will help to ease the burden on those families that are unable to purchase school uniforms.

These materials - pencils and composition notebooks - will really help ensure my scholars have some of the tools they need to begin their learning journey in Kindergarten. They will have some of the tools they need to practice writing, phonics, and complete their at home assignments and projects.

Prepared with the necessary materials they need for learning, sharing, and presenting their work will help make sure my scholars are ready for the school year, ready for the learning, and practicing safety protocols along the way.
