Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our students come from around the world and for many of them, our school is the first place they feel at home in the United States. We want all our students to see their culture reflected on our walls. This year, for the first time in a while, we will welcome our families for a Back to School evening with teachers and staff. We know it is meaningful to them as well to see our auditorium decorated with their flags. When our students and families feel seen and safe, they are more comfortable with taking on the challenges of learning in a new country. They feel respected and happy.
