it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
With back-to-school time, comes a time of organization and preparation to make the most of the school year ahead!
The excitement is in the air for the beginning of the new school year!
I teach third grade in a Title I school.
The materials that I am requesting will help us get a great jump start to the new year! This is my second year in third grade and last year I noticed that many of the students LOVED to draw when there was down time. So, I thought it would be a great idea for each of them to have their very own sketchbook where they can house their creations. Also, our school focuses heavily on reading, and we create book reading goals for the week. The children "shop" once a week for books and can have up to 15 books in their baggie. Therefore, I need a very durable bag to hold the books. With an emphasis also on technology, my students each have their own set of headphones. To keep them from becoming damaged, I was requesting the hanging shoe organizer so they each have a safe spot for their headphones. And finally, we all know how quickly we go through pencils, and I do not want students without access to a pencil sharpener. We need a durable one to keep up with the demand of the class.
