This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Arguably there's nothing more important than having books in your classroom. Therefore, I am first asking for nonfiction books to build my class library. Students need informational texts to apply their skills and learn some interesting facts. We'll use them for independent reading and research writing. These National Geographic texts are perfect for my 3rd graders.

My new classroom is in need of basics to help facilitate and demonstrate their learning.

We are without some of the essentials: scissors, whiteboards, markers and erasers. As we begin on our science investigations, art projects and more, we need scissors to aid us and build our fine-motor skills. My students also will use their whiteboards as we work on math tasks and phonics skills.

My third graders will be coming in to the classroom eager to learn. I want to make learning engaging and relevant. These materials will be perfect to support us in these efforts.
