Each year, students come to school eager to learn, read, create, grow, and socialize. But in order to do these things, my students need supplies that are often out of my budget.
Help me provide my students with crayons, markers, whiteboards, privacy folders, and other classroom basics so we can start this year off on the right foot!
My students will use these specially designed whiteboard clipboards each day multiple times during our lessons. In first grade, students do much better listening and learning when they are clustered at the rug. Having these whiteboard clipboards will allow my students to fully participate and learn during lessons without having to be at their desks.
Students in my classroom also use privacy folders frequently during the school year. These folders allow students to work in peace, minimizing distraction and increasing privacy during testing. My students focus so much better when they use these!
And any elementary classroom is incomplete without markers and crayons! By having crayons and markers, my students will be able to demonstrate their learning, deepen their comprehension skills, illustrate their original writing, and to make artistic masterpieces.
My project includes other items that I frequently use. The animal erasers are items that I use for behavior incentives for my first graders. The students get to pick animal eraser and use it as a desk pet all year long! I use numbered stickers to label pencils to help students keep track of their pencils and be responsible. If they turn in all their pencils each week, they earn a starburst. In my project, I also included baby wipes for cleaning students' desks/hands, whiteboard markers to use during lessons, and pink pearl erasers for my students. Having these basics will ensure my students start the school year off with sucess!
