This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Thanks for taking the time to stop and read my project request. As we begin the next school year, our classroom is in need of a few key items. First, I'd like to add journaling as a warm-up this year to get students thinking and writing every morning as they settle into class. Oftentimes, if students don't get right to work with a bell ringer, they waste time at the beginning of class, starting the day off on the wrong note.

The brightly colored bins I'm asking for will help me organize four classes' worth of journals: if students can't locate their journals quickly, then they often disrupt the bell-ringer activity by asking me where to find their journals.

I need to keep the journal area as organized as possible to limit these disruptions so I can take attendance at the beginning of class without interruption.

I'm often asked to microwave student lunches and I also offer students who don't have lunch a Cup O' Noodles: my microwave is dead, and I really need one to help these students as well as making treats for them like popcorn.

The other items in my cart are important: wipes will help us keep our desks clean; the geography game will help students gain important knowledge about our world; and the chargers will help me charge multiple different devices with one cable so I don't have to keep so many types of charging cables handy.
