My Students

My school is a neighborhood public school, and part of the Acceleration Network in the School District of Philadelphia. 100% of my students are economically disadvantaged. All of my students receive free breakfast and lunch at school daily.

My students love to learn.

It does not matter if they're learning literacy, math, science, or social studies- they are always eager to engage with something new. My students are always asking questions and are so curious. My goal is to ensure that learning can always happen, and that these questions can always be answered.

My Project

This year, we will enter a brand new classroom on September 3rd. My school building has been standing for over 100 years, and let's just say it is a bit outdated! My school was fortunate enough to receive a grant that provided us with new floors, wall paint, lighting, desks, chairs, and more in some classrooms for when we come back in the Fall. In order to get one of these brand-new rooms, I have to move down the hall!

I can't wait to see the look on my students' faces.

To go along with our brand new room, we need some materials to put on the finishing touches. These include materials for bulletin boards, extra storage for our headphones, and some tape to help us get set up. We can't wait to see how our updated environment impacts our love of learning!
