My Students

Can you imagine coming to school without any supplies? The first day must be really hard for you when you have a giant list of supplies to get. Many of my students have trouble fulfilling their basic supply list.

My school is 6th, 7th and 8th graders, many coming from a low-socioeconomic background.

I teach my students general math and remedial math, my students have a love of learning especially for math. However many cannot afford the supplies they need to be successful.

My Project

In my NYC public school we do have workbooks, but in order to keep my students engaged I often print extra material from other resources. These resources will help my students succeed in math. My students need folders, pencils, notebooks, etc to get the school year started off right! Often times we also need classroom cleaning supplies to keep students healthy during the year.

These materials will ensure that my students learn the 6th, 7th,and 8th grade Common Core Math standards by making sure my students have the basic supplies that they need as well as a clean and welcoming classroom.
