Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I have requested 25 plastic crayon boxes to help students store and organize their crayons. Many students in first grade tear or lose their cardboard crayon box which leads to lost or broken crayons. The small plastic crayon boxes will help prevent the crayons from breaking or becoming lost on the floor.

The 36 colorful, laminated folders are the perfect way to send important notes along with our weekly homework papers home.

The laminated pockets allow me to add a colorful cover with the student's name on each folder. These folders hold important notes that go home weekly.

Some basic supplies we also need are scissors, wide ruled notebook paper, sticky note holder, sticky note pad and a stapler. These are supplies we use daily to write spelling words, staple papers, and cut papers that we use to make art projects. For example, when we make ladybugs out of construction paper in the spring, I use scissors to separate each pair of eyes out of the 16 pairs of eyes on one page. Then, the students use their scissors to cut out both eyes. When students ask me to spell words, I write the word on a sticky pad so the

When students earn a math certificate on the Dreambox Math app, I would like to send home the certificate on heart paper that is made on the paper crimper I have requested.

Finally, I am requesting colorful and adorable hanging paper decorations that correspond to holidays in the fall. These decorations include bats, witches, spiders, pumpkins, woodland animals, thanksgiving foods, and leaves. These decorations add color to our classroom and they can also be used to decorate student writing on a bulletin board.
