My Project

I work in a low-income district where our budget has been completely cut. Many families are struggling financially, and it is hard to give their children basic school materials.

Some materials such as copy paper, ink, dry erase boards/markers, and crayons really make a difference in the classroom.

Our school district rations off copy paper in order to cut on costs, but it makes it difficult to provide multitudes of worksheets and activities for students.

Unfortunately, many students’ families cannot afford to buy supplies for their children. It is easier at the beginning of the year, but basic needs will need to be replenished multiple times throughout the school year. Without basic supplies, students will struggle to work and grasp the concepts.
