Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

These "basic" classroom materials will help students be successful in the way that they can use the items in collaboration. My students work in collaborative teams and often "compete" with their classmates to win the assignment by finishing first for the bragging rights.

Basic materials such as the class set of markers and sticky note posters allow students to engage in the activity with autonomy.

The product, such as the team poster, becomes their combined work in which all students contributed and they take pride of it!

After students share their product, their work is displayed in the classroom for days or weeks and used in reference in future conversations, gallery walk activities, or in general conversation. Students know that their work is meaningful and has a purpose.
