My Students

The students in this school are from a very underprivileged area. They are dedicated to doing their best so they can go to college. They are all from low-income homes, and all receive free lunch and breakfast. They deserve the same opportunities as every other student. DonorsChoose can help provide them with some of those opportunities that I cannot afford to provide them with on my own. These students are more than capable of anything they set their mind on!

My Project

I love when I see my students really get into a book. These days, it is all about the graphic novels. I think it is so important to inspire students to read whatever it is they want to read. I feel as though graphic novels aren't taken seriously as reading material.

Babymouse is a series that my students are super interested in, and I want to provide them with the whole series!

I want to keep encouraging my students to read, including those who may be struggling to read. Graphic novels are great for struggling readers, because they give the students pictures to go with the words!
