My Project

My students are a part of the prestigious Horizon program that services children with ASD. Our classroom strives to create a warm and accessible environment where students can succeed. Our students learn about respect and how to navigate their emotions and everyday life while also studying rigorous academia. My students will benefit from a printer in the classroom so that they can physically hold and interact with their work. The materials that will be printed will allow them to interact with their peers, review work, and establish individual emotional and schedule-based habits. The sensory items in our Zen Zone classroom will help students regulate and express their emotions and feelings. My students can produce incredible work with the help of prompting and praise. Small prizes such as stickers and sweets help motivate them to complete assignments, use communicative skills, and improve their work ethic.
