My students are from one of the largest districts in the state, but live in and attend school in a low income neighborhood.
Resources are often limited.
My Project
These certificates and card stock paper will allow us to award our students at the end of each term and end of the year for their hard work in the classroom. They deserve to be recognized for all of their achievements, and it gives them something to look back on in the years to come.
In previous years, our students have not consistently received recognition for their scholastic achievements.
For some, it is often discouraging to not have an awards program or be acknowledged in any way after they've done their best. With this project, we will be able to create awards that acknowledge students for their hard work in and out of the classroom. This will also give other students an opportunity to receive awards that rarely receive recognition.
