Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My elementary school is low income school, which means that a majority of the students receive free or reduced lunch. Many students come from single family homes and are not able to buy supplies needed for the classroom.

Each student matters!

Each student deserves an opportunity to reach their fullest potential. In my room students learn many different ways. We use technology, music, movement, wacky science experiments, manipulatives for math and we writing about our favorite topics. We have fun learning!

My Project

The use of the binders or called in our room AVID notebooks will be used daily in keeping students organized and for note taking on different class subjects.

By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve student organization and student retention of subject matters, you will help to increase their academic achievement.

“AVID's mission is to close the achievement gap by preparing all students for college readiness and success in a global society."

Students can take their notebooks home and show their parents what they are learning in class. Students will be able to use their notes to review materials and help increase retention.
