Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our class is celebrating Rosh Hashanah, Diwali, Halloween, and Thanksgiving together this autumn. Coming together for festive traditions builds classroom community, teaches about global cultural and religious holidays, builds background knowledge and vocabulary for English language learners, and inserts joy into our daily routine.

I'm requesting autumn leaves LED lights, glow bracelets, candy, LED torches, and string lights to decorate our classroom during these festive months.

The filter will be used in our HEPA air purifier to keep germs at bay during cold and flu season. Many of the decorations will do double duty and add brightness to the Jewish New Year, Diwali, and Halloween, and Friendsgiving activities this fall and can be used for celebrations in the winter and spring too.
