My Project

My students are all unique! They love to learn, create, and explore their surroundings. The students in our classroom are all five years old and for some, this is their first year in a classroom setting! They receive special instruction in small classrooms along with related services throughout the school day, such as physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech, and counseling. Sometimes it's difficult for my students to communicate their needs and wants effectively, especially when it comes to ADLs (activities of daily living) involving hygiene such as toileting, hand-washing, and even tooth-brushing at home. The first step to promoting independence, we really want to focus on potty training this year!

I want my students to improve their overall hygiene so they can be more independent in ADLs!

My students need to practice good hygiene with toothbrushes, toothpaste, floss picks, soap, and toileting aids/visuals. These tools and resources will help them learn to be more independent in school and at home!
