This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My name is Mr. Contreras-Hernandez, and I work with a cluster program for children with autism and learning disabilities. We are currently looking to create a cozy, calming corner in our space where the students can go to de-escalate or use it as a small library for quiet reading and relaxation.

This area would provide a safe, comfortable environment that promotes emotional regulation and offers a peaceful place for the children to recharge.

It would be immensely beneficial to have any support, resources, or guidance in making this calming corner a reality.
