Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The items listed in the project will make a tremendous difference in my student's lives because we are a classroom that was put together for K to second grade learners with autism who need special instruction. Our classroom is in a trailer, we do not have a standard classroom and our resources in the school are limited. My goal for this project is to create and foster a fun learning environment for all of my students with a new rug and toys. My students are special because even though they have autism and have specific educational challenges they are all Allstars because they put their best effort forward in learning. They enjoy working with technology and utilizing apps on the laptop to reinforce their skills. The rugs will be used for the students to in circle for morning group and for reading time where they can sit comfortably on the floor while they are working on their reading skills. The various puzzles and sensory toys will be used to satisfy their sensory diets and challenge them to use other parts of the brain to foster creativity. The cleaning products will be used to keep our students germ free and that they can learn in a clean environment.
