My Students

Returning back to in-person teaching after a year of virtual learning is a tough! My First graders are excited and willing to learn and have all the great experiences of being in the classroom.

My students come from a high-poverty area with very limited resources already, and COVID-19 has added a greater impact.

They are thriving in their learning already, but we need more materials to get this job done! Their favorite time is sitting on the rug listening to read alouds and talking with partners about their learning. They are inquisitive and eager to learn more and more everyday.

My Project

My first grade students are already creating a love for certain authors this year. By bringing a passion of books into their lives they are already developing a love for specific authors.

Authors like Mo Willems and Deborah Deisen are quickly becoming some of our favorite authors in our class!

They write engaging and hilarious books that spark happiness and humor into my students lives.

Please help us expand our library for some holiday titles that are quickly approaching! Other titles like Grumpy Monkey, touch upon Social Emotional learning and teaching that it's okay to have emotion.
