My Students

My students are full of wonder and curiosity. They are constantly exploring the world around them and learning new things every day. Pre-K is all about hands-on learning and my students love to dig in with all their five senses.

My students come from all different types of backgrounds and cultures.

Many of them have little or no experience with the world around them. Their parents have limited resources and are unable to buy them educational toys to help them progress and succeed. Their main experience comes from my classroom and the trips I take them on.

Even after 17 years of teaching, it still amazes me as I watch them grow and learn. Pre-K students have an amazing ability to soak in information. The growth in their maturity and learning is so rapid. The more we expose them to, the more they grow. The metamorphosis throughout the year is absolutely the most incredible sight I have ever seen.

My Project

In Pre-K we begin the journey to become amazing storytellers and Authors. My students begin this amazing process by practicing storytelling using their experiences during center time, retelling a favorite story or an event that happened at home. We will use the microphones to act out stories in our puppet theatre, relate events and center time fun during share time.

We want to become amazing and inspiring authors.
