My Students

This year, thanks to donors like you, we got a brand new listening center. Now I need a few read along sets so my students can read as they listen to the books.

In our school, 57% of the students receive free or reduced price meals.

I have 24 kindergartners who are eager to learn. For many of my students, kindergarten is their first school experience. I want to create a school environment that fosters their curiosity and love of learning.

My Project

To start their kindergarten journey into reading, my students need early readers read along sets. Each read along set comes with an audio book and six printed copies of the book. When students read along as they listen, it helps them with comprehension, vocabulary, sequencing, and retelling. By donating these audio books to our classroom, you are giving all of my students the opportunity to hear and enjoy great stories.

Having new audio books for our listening center has many advantages.

For example, it will help my students build sight vocabulary, expose them to a variety of story structures, and it will also provide access to higher text levels
