Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students with Autism go from students who are non-verbal and show critical communication needs to students who are in need of extensive learning of social and daily life functioning skills.

They are eager to learn every day and become the best they can be with as many learning experiences I can possibly provide them.

Every day it's a possibility to gain more and more skills to have a better future.

My Project

When students are provided a beautiful classroom with inspiring quotes and comfortable touches that are inviting and appealing they will feel loved and welcomed by the teacher. Also, there's a space dedicated for students to be able to decompress when over-stimulated with sensory toys and room to stretch and play.

After being home for so many months and lacking the warmth of their teachers and peers, I want my students to have a space where they feel vibrant and loving energy.

A place where they can feel I love them and I want them to be comfortable, inspired, and ready to learn.

As many of my students have sensory sensitivities, creating personal and beautiful face masks for them will be an encouraging way to get them to keep their masks on throughout the entire day.
