Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am in my new classroom, and I love it! It is so much bigger than my former basement classroom—I have room to spread out and have all my things organized and neatly arranged; the kids aren’t on top of each other; and, we have adequate space to do our work.

In my new classroom, I have two walls of cork and whiteboards; however, two of the boards have the old-school green chalkboard surface—and I don’t like it!

They are a waste of space because I will never use them; too many of my kids have allergies, bronchitis, and etc. so I wouldn’t even think of using dusty old chalk to teach them!

I am asking for magnetic paint with which to paint the chalkboards and turn them into a magnetic surface. This will make the boards useful to me and my kids and give me more space to post anchor charts, posters, and et cetera using the magnetic clips and glue gun. The projection camera will be used along with my projector to show lessons on the whiteboard.
