Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our Title I school's athletics programs are an amazing opportunity for many students. These programs give our K-5 students a chance to embrace, learn and hone skills in a sport- coached by our very own school staff and on our own school campus. Parents entrust us with the responsibility of fostering their child's love for a sport because we are already a safe place for them! Among these programs, our 3rd-5th grade cheerleading squad stands out as a symbol of school spirit and unity. We are the only school in our district with an elementary-school level cheerleading squad. The squad cheers for our school's teams including basketball and flag football, as well as cheering at school events. We want to be able provide our cheerleaders with a few attire pieces they need to represent our community with pride. For this project, we simply want to fund uniform hair bows, practice shorts and also a set of breast cancer awareness-themed hair bows. As a cause dear to our community, we want to be able to enhance the cheerleaders' uniforms as we hope to partake in related events this October.

By supporting our cheerleader attire project, you're not just funding uniform pieces – you're investing in the athletic dreams and potential of students who deserve every chance to shine, both on and off the field.

Your donation will help our team look unified and full of spirit, as well as show support for a cause important to our school community. Every contribution, big or small, makes a difference in empowering our cheerleaders to represent our school with pride. Your donation, no matter the size, will directly impact these young athletes, allowing them to participate fully and confidently in cheer activities that build teamwork, discipline, and self-esteem.
