Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students have been diagnosed with various forms of disabilities but their primary disability is Autism.

My students have extreme difficulties and deficits in the areas of language, communication, and social functioning.

The frustration of not being able to communicate often leads to negative behavior challenges in the classroom. The inability for some of my students to communicate has produced a significant impact on their quality of life, educational access, and development of social skills and relationships and more often lead to negative behavior challenges.

My Project

The inability for some of my students to communicate has a significant impact on their quality of life, educational access, and development of social skills and relationships. The frustration of not being able to communicate often leads to negative behavior challenges in the classroom.

The iPads will enable my students to produce verbal thoughts and words as they will use technology as a voice output device to speak for them and help them in expressing themselves more fluently and self-manage their calendars, schedules and work systems.

The Protective Cases will eliminate shock bumps and bangs thereby eliminating negative behavior and preserving the iPads.
