My Students

This year is unlike any previous school years. Teachers are preparing to teach kids in person and virtually. My students need materials for at home learning. I see students from 1st through 5th grade to give them individualized learning in math.

Many of my families cannot afford to purchase math manipulatives to help at home.  They need manipulatives at home to help them develop their math skills.

My students leave me feeling successful in math, I don't want this to change given the unusual circumstances this year brings us.

My Project

My students use different tools to learn math. I help them turn a subject they do not like into enjoyable learning. We use many things like dice to add and subtract, decks of cards, and ipads for math games.

While students are learning virtually at home they need to have the same tools they would in my class.

Each student will have a bag of resources to have at home to support their learning. We will be able to interact during a zoom call. This will help them feel like they have a little bit of my classroom at their own home.
